These delicate pieces of Ethiopian opal are formed in cavities in the earth under very specific environmental conditions.
Opals are made of 80% water, and draw their liquid beauty from this earth element; because of this, they are very extremely fragile and sensitive to heat and chemicals.
Therefore, please follow the rule of “last on, first off”. These opals should be the last thing you put on before you leave your house- please shower, apply lotions , creams, hairspray, fix your hair etc BEFORE you put your opals on. Then, please remove them once you arrive home and place them safely back in your jewelry box, so that they can remain lustrous for years to come.
